Information we collect

• Information you provide: name, company, job title, email address, phone number, and information you submit through our contact form, email, event inquiries or meeting requests.
• Website and device information: like most websites, our servers automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring pages and timestamps. We use these logs to operate and secure the site.
• Usage analytics: we use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It records pages visited, referring pages, browser, operating system, device type and approximate country. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you or follow you across other websites.

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information through our general website forms. Please do not submit confidential employee or health information through the public website.

How we use information

• Respond to inquiries and schedule meetings.
• Provide requested information about Sylva services and events.
• Operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the website.
• Understand site traffic in aggregate.
• Send marketing communications where permitted and honor unsubscribe requests.

Cookies and tracking

Sylva's website does not currently set cookies. Our cookieless analytics tool is described above, and our Cookie Policy explains this in more detail and how we will handle any change.

When we share information

We may share information with service providers that host the site, deliver email, provide scheduling services, measure site traffic or support security, only as needed for their services. We may also share information with professional advisers, when legally required, or in connection with a business transaction.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-site or targeted advertising.

Pineapple Academy and Sylva are separate companies. We do not automatically share website inquiries with Pineapple; if an inquiry is referred or coordinated with another provider, we will handle the information as disclosed at collection or otherwise permitted by law.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including customer inquiries, business records and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete information, subject to applicable law and exceptions. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights, including opting out of targeted advertising or certain data sharing and appealing a decision about a privacy request.

To exercise a request, use our contact form and include "Privacy Request" in your message. We may need to verify your identity.

You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies.

External links, children and international visitors

Our website may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their responsibility. Our site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you visit from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and laws.
